Dr. Bryan Reuss Named 2010 Sports Medicine Person of the Year

Orlando Orthopaedic Center announced today that Bryan L. Reuss, M.D., was named the 2010 Sports Medicine Person of the Year by the Athletic Trainers’ Association of Florida (ATAF). He was presented with the award on Saturday, April 9, 2011, during the annual ATAF Awards Luncheon held at the Radisson World Gate Resort in Kissimmee.

“Winning this award with support from my peers is a remarkable honor,” says Dr. Reuss. “Being acknowledged by ATAF is incredibly inspiring and has encouraged me to continue with the same dedication to my field and patient-first mentality I have been utilizing every day in my professional career.”

Specializing in sports medicine, knee and shoulder surgery, Dr. Reuss has served as a physician for Cirque du Soleil, USA Rugby, USA Boxing, the United Football League, College Football’s East-West Shrine Game, the PGA’s Arnold Palmer Invitational, as well as a wide sports medicine network within the local high schools throughout his career. Boasting a background of published literature in Orthopaedic journals, he also serves as clinical faculty member for the University of Central Florida’s Medical School, Nova Southeastern University’s Physician Assistant Program and Orlando Health’s Orthopaedic Residency Program.
